What can I do with these points?
1. Level-Up
The higher your level, the more points you earn per upvote. Every level-up earns you half a cent more for every upvote. Once points are allocated to leveling up, they are locked into your account.
2. Purchase:
a) Advertisement placement in the sidebar
b) One of the two “highlighted posts” in a niche

3. Redeem for Cypto

Does Uptrennd censor content?
Uptrennd is platform that fully supports free speech and media expression. We will never delete posts/comments because of opinion or bias.
That being said, we cannot support illegal activities or threats of violence on our website. Additionally, as Uptrennd is a crypto-only platform at this point in time, non-crypto content and blatant spam is subject to being removed from the website.
People soliciting "upvote for upvote" messages on the platform, or found to be doing "upvote-for-upvote" group gamification on the platform will be muted for either one week, or one month, depending on severity. They will also have any gamified points removed. The second offense is a one month mute, or an account deletion, depending on severity.

At level one, 1 upvotes = 1 point.

No, Uptrennd is currently a standard Web 2.0 website. We plan to have Uptrennd as a fully decentralized platform within 3 years.
Did Uptrennd do an ICO?
No, Uptrennd is a fully self-funded project. No outside investments were accepted for any stage of the build.
Was there a premine of 1UP tokens?
Yes. As this was a grassroots, self-funded platform, Uptrennd had to get creative with ways to reduce startup costs. Rather than spending millions upfront on a full blockchain integrated platform, the website was built as a web 2.0 platform. This meant it was not possible to have a token-mining model at launch. Uptrennd premined 1,000,000,000 tokens which are securely kept in cold storage. The only time 1UP tokens will be moved from cold storage is when users on Uptrennd withdraw tokens from their points earned.
